Memory Roamer Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 19, 2026
Memory Roamer is a personal place journal for saving meaningful locations as pins with notes, photos, videos, and voice memories. This page explains what the app may access, how optional permissions relate to app features, and how supporting services may be involved when you use maps or place search.
Information the app may access
- Photos and camera: If you choose to add your own photos or videos to a saved pin, the app may request access to your photo library or camera.
- Microphone: If you choose to record a voice memory, iOS may request microphone access.
- Location: The app may request location access for optional map-related features such as centering on your position or nearby behavior.
- Local app preferences and saved content: The app stores certain settings and saved content on your device, including onboarding state, preferences, notes, and user-added media related to your pins.
How information is used
- To show maps, search for places, and save the places you choose.
- To let you add optional notes, photos, videos, and voice memories to your saved pins.
- To support local playback and other in-app features you request.
- To save app preferences on your device and support the in-app experience.
Supporting services
Memory Roamer may rely on Apple-provided map or place search services to show maps, search for places, and resolve locations. When this happens, those services may receive technical information such as your IP address, request headers, and device or network details needed to deliver the requested content. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.
Accounts, selling, and sharing
Memory Roamer does not require you to create an account for normal use. The app is not designed to sell your personal information. The app only uses supporting services as needed to provide the map and place features you request.
Data storage
Notes, media, voice memories, and preferences you add within the app are intended to stay on your device unless your device or Apple account backs them up using services you choose to enable. Memory Roamer does not require personal profiles to use its core features.
Your choices
- You can deny Photos, Camera, Microphone, or Location access through iOS permissions.
- You can manage permissions later in the iOS Settings app.
- You can remove the app from your device at any time.
Children’s privacy
Memory Roamer is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or clarifications. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
